POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Project Engineer will support Dominium's Construction and Architectural Services (DCAS) department, working across either the general contracting and owner's representation functions. This role assists senior construction staff with project management, documentation, and process improvements while adhering to company policies and procedures. The Construction Project Engineer will maintain professional relationships with Dominium staff and external business partners to ensure project success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Construction Project Management Functions
    • Review and modify contract exhibits
    • Prepare and maintain a standardized submittal list
    • Review invoices with the Construction PM for accuracy and approval.
    • Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation
    • Collaborate with superintendents to enhance punch lists and daily reports
    • Attend OAC and weekly coordination meetings
  • Develop and implement project management systems and procedural improvements
    • Work with estimating in maintaining of unit costs
    • Audit project documents in Procore such as:
      • Submittals (including closeout processes).
      • Requests for Information (RFIs) (tracking and resolution).
      • Commitments (verifying contractual obligations).
      • Change Orders (reviewing scope and budget implications).
      • Drawings & Specifications (ensuring document control).
    • Complete other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare spreadsheets and estimate costs of projects and purchases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with Procore or similar project management software is a plus.
