A well-established commercial real estate organisation with a decades-long track record of developing, investing in, and managing high-quality office, retail, medical, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout the United States. The Senior Construction Manager will lead tenant improvement, capital improvement, and ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
- Lead preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting, design coordination, and contractor procurement.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Administer contracts, pay applications, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with property managers, tenants, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule.
- Support tenant improvement projects, including space planning and move-in coordination.
- Perform constructability reviews, value engineering, and project risk assessments.
- Assist with capital planning, property assessments, and due diligence activities.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contract requirements.
- Prepare project status reports and maintain complete project records through closeout.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience, including tenant improvement, capital improvement, and ground-up projects.
- Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
- Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and MEP systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
