Job description

Position Title: Commercial Project Manager
The Commercial Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors. The individual will manage project lifecycles, handle financial aspects, and enforce safety standards. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining client satisfaction throughout the process. A focus on repeat business and long-term relationships is essential in this privately held company, which values open communication and teamwork.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 / Year DOE
Commercial Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Review drawings, contracts, and specifications
  • Set up project files, budgets, schedules, and reporting systems
  • Handle permits, insurance, bonds, contracts and project schedules
  • Request and review subcontractor bids
  • Award contracts and issue purchase orders
  • Run coordination meetings and work closely with superintendents
  • Track progress and address delays
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and job costing
  • Visit job sites regularly and enforce safety and OSHA standards
  • Support RFIs, submittals, documentation, inspections, and quality control
  • Maintain strong client relationships
  • Submit warranties, manuals, and as-builts

Commercial Project Manager Requirements:
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience managing full project lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction management, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Proficiency in tools like Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred
  • Experience in automotive, retail, hospitality, or aviation projects is preferred
  • Design-build project experience or understanding is preferred
