From large-scale developments to small, fast-track interior fit-outs, Rycon is equipped to deliver a comprehensive range of services across all project types. Rycon's portfolio includes projects in aviation, healthcare, higher education, industrial/warehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, student housing, food service/dining, data centers/mission critical, retail, financial, self-storage, government/municipality, and LEED facilities. We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.

We are seeking an experienced Project Executive - Mission Critical for our Houston or Irving office.

The Project Executive will oversee Project Managers, Assistant Project Mangers, Project Engineers, and the day-to-day management of the projects they are assigned. The Project Executive will also protect and promote the interests of Rycon Construction in all matters on assigned projects, and to take actions as needed to ensure successful completion of the project.

What you will do:

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor project managers and construction teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency planning.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality requirements.
  • Oversee contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitor project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Review and approve project expenditures and financial forecasts.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and 3 years experience working on Data Centers. Proven experience managing large-scale projects and teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Advanced knowledge of construction methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
