Job description

We are seeking skilled, motivated Project Engineers for our Seattle and Tacoma, Washington region. Our ideal candidate will play a key role in our construction project teams. Project Engineers assist a group of Project Managers or Superintendents, completing assignments in compliance with established policies and procedures, organizing and communicating information within the project team, and delivering a high level of service to our customers/contacts.
You will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining, initializing, and tracking Requests for Information (RFI's).
  • Initializing and maintaining Changes in Contract (CIC's).
  • Organizing and maintaining product submittals and samples.
  • Organizing and tracking as-built drawings.
  • Reviewing project plans and drawings.
  • Completing material take-offs.
  • Reviewing contract plans for errors.
  • Processing and tracking subcontractor change orders.
  • Developing, organizing, and maintaining project closeout documents.
  • Providing general assistance for Superintendents and Project Managers, as required.
  • Assisting with project scheduling, as needed.
  • Providing project team with layout and overall technical assistance.
  • Organizing and maintaining project files.
  • Assisting project team in providing a safe and quality product to the client.
  • Performing other related duties, as assigned.

You are qualified if:
  • You hold a High School diploma (or equivalent); a four-year degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Engineering, preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are skilled and knowledgeable with computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and project management software such as Bluebeam, Viewpoint and/or AutoDesk.
  • You are flexible, reliable, and demonstrate the ability to focus.
  • You are able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • You possess extensive problem-solving capacity and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs.
  • Ability to navigate via walking multi-terrain jobsites and an overall excellent awareness of surroundings.
  • Working knowledge of wood frame and commercial construction as related to all disciplines and phases of construction, preferred.

Salary range is $84,000 to $98,000 annually.
