Your Mission

As a Per Diem Pharmacist (Cannabis) โ€“ Connecticut, you'll provide clinical coverage and support across Shangri-La's Connecticut dispensaries, ensuring patients receive exceptional care while maintaining compliance with all Connecticut medical cannabis regulations.

Position Overview

The Per Diem Pharmacist provides as-needed pharmacist coverage for Connecticut retail locations, supporting patient consultations, medical cannabis transaction verification, and pharmacist-required compliance functions.

This role is ideal for licensed pharmacists seeking flexible scheduling while contributing to a patient-focused, compliance-driven organization. Per diem pharmacists will work collaboratively with Operations, Compliance, and store leadership to ensure uninterrupted pharmacist coverage and an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities Patient Consultations & Clinical Oversight
  • Conduct medical cannabis consultations in accordance with Connecticut regulations.
  • Educate patients on product selection, administration methods, dosing considerations, and responsible cannabis use.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for patients and dispensary staff.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance during all patient interactions.
Medical Transaction Review & Verification
  • Review and verify medical cannabis transactions completed by Dispensary Technicians.
  • Ensure required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant before final approval.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with Connecticut regulations and company standards.
  • Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies as needed.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with all Connecticut pharmacy and medical cannabis regulations.
  • Complete pharmacist-required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives when scheduled.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes affecting Connecticut medical cannabis operations.
Team Support
  • Partner with store leadership to ensure smooth daily operations during pharmacist coverage.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Dispensary Technicians regarding patient interactions and regulatory requirements.
  • Support training initiatives and reinforce company standards when working in stores.
Qualifications Required
  • Active, unrestricted Connecticut Pharmacist License.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Minimum three years of pharmacist experience in a regulated healthcare or pharmacy environment.
  • Strong understanding of compliance-driven documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to travel between Connecticut retail locations as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
