UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Supervisor, Community Services to join our Behavioral Health Clinic. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Minimum $56,173 - Midpoint $70,217*
*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.
*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
About the Ideal Candidate:
UNM Medical Group, Inc. has an exciting position available in Rio Rancho for a Community Services Supervisor of community-based services. This position supervises paraprofessionals providing peer support and other community-based services to children, adolescents and their families. The successful candidate will have an interest in sustainable behavioral health program development and experience providing behavioral health services to individuals in the community and supervising paraprofessionals providing services.
Summary:
Community Services Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing the administrative and direct service aspects of our program(s). This role involves supervising paraprofessional staff who provide services to our constituents. Additionally, the Community Services Supervisor may directly engage with program participants. The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with funder, program, and agency standards, supporting staff through reflective and clinical supervision, and maintaining program quality.
Minimum Job Requirements of a Community Services Supervisor:
Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or an equivalent field with a minimum of four (4) years' experience working with the target population and/or behavioral health specialty program and supervision. Lived experience can count for two (2) of the four (4) years required experience with a bachelor's degree OR one (1) of the two (2) years' experience with a master's degree. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid unrestricted NM driver's license. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Community Services Supervisor:
  1. Lead a team of paraprofessionals by providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback, while fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
  2. Engage in regularly scheduled supervision with staff, encouraging self-awareness and skill development by providing programmatic insights and support to enhance service delivery and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  3. Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring all applicable forms are utilized and standards and/or requirements of the program are followed.
  4. Provide technical assistance to address any systemic barriers that the team may encounter.
  5. Ensure that program team members do not exceed any capacity ratios.
  6. Follow policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance the efficiency of the program that ensure compliance with funders, maintains program fidelity and upholds organizational standards.
  7. Oversee accurate and timely documentation of services provided and ensuring electronic records, data collection and program outcomes are maintained and tracked in accordance with program and organizational standards.
  8. Collaborate with external and internal constituents to align program goals with organization objectives that help to enhance the quality of the program.
  9. Participate in long and short-term planning; identify growth opportunities, assess community needs, and propose innovative solutions that contribute to program expansion, outreach, and sustainability efforts.
  10. Implement quality assurance processes to monitor program effectiveness, by analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
  11. Attend various local, state, and federal meetings representing the program; advocate for program needs and educate stakeholders of program benefits to build relationships with constituents, both internal and external.
  12. Develops appropriate community advisory processes in accordance with specific program requirements.
  13. Maintain any required certifications to be able to provide supervision of the program.
  14. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The Behavioral Health Clinic has an interdisciplinary team providing accessible behavioral health care to the Sandoval County community, while also coordinating care with integrated behavioral providers at the neighboring Sandoval Regional Medical Center and nearby Grande Primary Care Clinic. Team members work collaboratively across behavioral health and related disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, primary care, clinical social work, counseling, and peer support.
