Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Lead Configuration Manager to oversee the strategic planning and implementation of technology infrastructure and configuration management activities. The role involves analyzing product design changes, establishing procedures for change control, and leading a team to maintain configuration baselines.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzing product design and development changes
• Establishing corresponding procedures for change control and configuration.
• Preparing configuration documentation required to support development and engineering efforts across the program.
• Communicating and coordinating with customers and other stakeholders to determine processes for change reporting.
• Reviewing released engineering change data and documentation activities to ensure compliance with configuration management policies and regulations.
• Leading a team to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines, including development, test, and production.
• Mentoring or supervising employees in both company and technical competencies.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of experience with configuration management (CM) or systems analysis, including environment integrity, baselines, documentation, and software lifecycle management
• Experience managing Configuration Control Boards
• Experience with the system engineering life cycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment
• Ability to generate, edit, and maintain program documentation, including process documentation, and version description documents, and the Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
• Ability to define what items are under configuration control, such as code, IaC, pipelines, docs, binaries, or container images
• Ability to demonstrate cross-functional communications with a variety of engineering teams
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
• Experience with Cloud software development, requirements traceability, government contract data requirements lists, risk management processes, or best practices
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Master’s degree
• CM, ASEP, OCSMP Fundamental, Agile or SAFe, or INCOSE CSEP certifications
