What you'll do
You will independently execute Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) activities to support assigned products or programs, ensuring configuration integrity, data accuracy, and traceability across the product lifecycle. You’ll work autonomously within established processes, applying configuration management standards while collaborating crossfunctionally to influence alignment, quality, and compliance outcomes.

The day-to-day
  • Maintain configuration and data management activities for assigned product(s) and/or program(s) in accordance with defined CM/DM processes.
  • Ensure accurate configuration control, versioning, baselines, and data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Apply EIA649 principles to guide configuration management decisions and execution.
  • Own daytoday CM/DM support for assigned products or programs.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to resolve configuration or datarelated issues.
  • Identify, assess, and appropriately escalate complex issues, risks, or gaps to senior CDM personnel.
  • Use PLM tools to manage configuration structures, releases, and supporting data.
  • Support the CDM Manager by providing backup coverage and assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to documentation, reports, metrics, and presentations.
  • Communicate configuration status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

What you'll need
  • 4+ years of experience in Configuration Management and/or Data Management in a regulated or controlled environment.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced, handson experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

  • Strong understanding of configuration control principles and the product lifecycle.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Active TS Clearance required. 

What will help you on the job
  • CMII or CMPIC certification.
  • Practical working knowledge of the EIA649 Configuration Management standard.
  • Experience supporting crossfunctional product or program teams.
  • Ability to define and refine data and business case requirements to influence decisions.
  • Comfort collaborating beyond Quality/CDM (e.g., Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Security).
  • A proactive mindset focused on alignment, traceability, and continuous improvement.

Salary range
$82,000.00 - $129,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $102,000.00- $153,000.00/ annually
