Job Summary
The Conference Services & AV Support Specialist is responsible for room/space set ups and breakdowns and to assist with the overall conferencing operation and AV technical team in the Pfizer Bothell including operation, troubleshooting, room maintenance, and security of all audiovisual equipment and facilities in the managed/event
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper set up of tables and chairs, as well as audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms and special event spaces according to client needs. This may require lifting an average of 20 - 30 pounds to a height of 36 - 60 inches with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet.
  • Room Set Ups and Resets for meetings/events. Adjusting space available for projectors, large projection screens, confidence displays, PA systems and meeting/event accessories/materials.
  • The flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand
  • Ability to work on all types of event tasks that can be considered a non-technical duty. Always remember you work for Conference Solutions and we support the many faces of what our team covers.
  • As our business changes and as the technology and process changes, so do we. Ensure you are flexible and adjustable to any and all processes that are asked of you.
  • Operation of integrated audiovisual equipment. Requiring working knowledge of video and audio equipment, integrated and standalone equipment troubleshooting skills. Become familiar with integrated equipment software and direct access commands. Set up, operation and troubleshooting of computers, projectors, cameras, wired and wireless microphones, telephones. Operation of equipment may require long periods of standing or kneeling in place.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Education and hospitality, conference, or event planning experience.
  • Basic audio visual knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read and count
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Good manual dexterity needed for repair and cleaning of equipment (use of hand tools, etc.)
