Job description

Superior Concrete is a family-owned pre-cast concrete company that has been in business since 1957. We are looking for a dependable batch plant operator to join our team.


The Concrete Batch Plant Operator is responsible for making quality concrete and providing it in a timely manner to the production team. The operator must coordinate with, and be responsive to, the needs of the shop lead and quality control in order to keep on top of a fast-paced, flexible schedule. Operator must be able to keep a big-picture view on scheduling batch plant upkeep, raw materials deliveries, quality control testing, and production needs.


Excellent attendance record is mandatory in this position.


Daily duties include:

  • Operating concrete batch plant
  • Upkeep of the batch plant mixer & conveyor systems (grease bearings, replace conveyor belts, washout mixer, etc.)
  • Assisting with quality control duties (sampling, testing fresh concrete, testing aggregate)
  • Scheduling raw material deliveries
  • Operating coring machine
  • Working on production floor during down times


Must be able to climb stairs/ladders

Must be able to read a tape measure

Capable of interpreting construction drawings (for coring machine)

Mechanical aptitude to identify issues and perform basic troubleshooting

Familiarity with concrete composition and production

ACI concrete field testing technician level I a plus
