Overview
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Concierge to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Concierge will be responsible for performing all concierge duties for our guests such as local recommendations and booking of limos, restaurants, activities, shopping, etc. while providing outstanding, insightful and personalized service.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the guest with any administrative duties as requested such as printing, photo copies, faxing, scanning, directions and airline boarding passes, etc.
  • Maintain an immaculately clean and luxurious work environment
  • Resolve the guest's issues in a pleasant, empowered and prompt manner
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments and assist when needed in order to exceed the guest's expectations
  • Work to build insightful guest profiles and promotes special hotel programs
  • Be knowledgeable about The Post Oak and its services
  • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of Houston and the surrounding areas
  • Provide the most consistent and professional level of service to achieve and maintain the Forbes 5 Star Rating

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of concierge experience preferred, Les Clefs d'Or USA Membership preferred
  • Hospitality or related field degree or certification preferred
  • Possess excellent computer skills in a Windows environment including proficiency with word processing software. Experience with Property Management Software is preferable.
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Physical demands: Stand for an entire work shift
