Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting an Event Concierge/Coordinator to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who's who of Miami. Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach will become a landing spot for guests and locals seeking celebratory gatherings that embrace the city's culture of music, art, and fashion.
Position Overview
The Event Concierge/Coordinator role is a hybrid position created to both support the Events Team and enhance the Meeting Planner onsite experience.
Primarily, this position will act as a liaison between the Events team, the on-site meeting contact, and our operational departments. This position is a highly visible representative of the Hotel and should assist with addressing special needs or requests as they pop-up on site as well as being able to resolve potential problems before they arise. This position requires detailed knowledge of the hotel meeting facilities, group dynamics, and event details. The Event Concierge / Coordinator was created to not only meet but exceed the expectations of our meeting & event planners and guests. This position is a proactive, empowered problem solver who provides meeting & event planners with seamless, on-site support. This role ensures seamless coordination between hotel departments, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for meetings, conferences, banquets, and special occasions.
When Groups are not inhouse, the position will support the Events Team with administrative duties as assigned.
The schedule of the Event Concierge / Coordinator is based on business demands, which could include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility and availability are required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the on-site contact for event organizers, ensuring all requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, working closely with banquet, culinary, AV, and housekeeping teams.
  • Pre-Event Planning: Assist with event proposals, contracts, and function sheets; confirm details such as menus, room layouts, and technical needs.
  • Guest Experience: Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs, providing personalized service throughout the event.
  • Operational Support: Monitor event timelines, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transitions between sessions or activities.
  • Post-Event Follow-Up: Gather client feedback and support repeat business opportunities.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate event records, update booking systems, and prepare reports as required.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a similar guest-facing role (hotel experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm under pressure, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
