Position Summary
General Summary: Under supervision of the PGA Head Professional, assist in planning, directing, or coordinating the daily operations of the Bunker Hill Clubhouse concessions; assist in formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources; and perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values fairness, problem solving and the development of partnerships; and be a team player; and desires to be part of an organization that values service, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork. Additional duties include management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work in addition to supervisory duties.
Distinguishing Features of the Class: Work in this class includes responsibility for assisting in the management, supervision, planning, directing, coordinating and performing work related to the golf course, club house and food operations. Work includes supervising and assigning the work of seasonal employees. Assignments and general directions are received from the PGA Head Professional. Work is reviewed and evaluated by the PGA Head Professional through operating records, fiscal records, inspection of the facilities and effectiveness of services provided.
Job Duties

    • Discuss operational decisions or activities; and financial records to improve efficiency.
    • Direct management of services; sales, marketing, or customer service activities; and financial operations.
    • Monitor performance of staff.
    • Develop organizational policies or programs; organization goals or objectives; and marketing plans or strategies.
    • Manage facility guidelines; and inventory of products and supplies.
  • Recommend organizational process or policy changes.
  • Plan facility layouts of clubhouse concession services.
  • Administer check in and fee collection of sales items.
  • Assist in daily record maintenance, organizational process or policy changes; fiscal goals including pricing, monetary policies and resource needs; staff schedules and work assignments; and customer service; employee training programs;, club house, concession and kitchen areas, and other areas of the facility; and startup and closing procedures.
  • Verify age of customers purchasing alcohol products.
  • Follows facility policies and procedures.
  • Operate concession equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the PGA Head Professional.
  • Supervise food and beverage services operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Service Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Understanding people's reactions.
  • Critical Thinking - Thinking about the pros and cons of different ways to solve a problem.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (provided by department).
  • Obtain ServSafe and IPACT certifications (provided by department).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Food service experience.
  • Supervisory experience.

Supplemental Information
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work includes constantly moving about, communication with others and repetitive wrist, hands and/or fingers motions. On occasion, will stand or still for prolonged periods of time, move objects, assess the assigned tasks, work in outdoor element such as wind or rain, and work in noisy environments.
