Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Computer and Information Research Scientist - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR21) headquartered near CONUS - Oklahoma City, OK to support requirements for Aerospace and Defense Sector Clients. 

This CONUS - Oklahoma City, OK | Computer and Information Research Scientist - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR21) Contract Contingent position currently best aligns with the Computer and Information Research Scientist Labor Category. Ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members work to provide Gov't. - Federal (USA) Sector related Human Capital Solutions for Aerospace Medical Research and Technical Support Services  on behalf of The Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI).

Computer and Information Research Scientist - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR21) Candidates shall work to support requirements for  (Aerospace Medical Research Services) and shall work as part of a team in support of Aerospace Medical Research efforts.  The candidate will complete tasks and activities contributing to deliverables and core mission functions in the Aerospace Medical Research space.

Must:

- Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorist and designer of aeromedical information systems

- Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software as it relates to aeromedical issues

- Utilize high performance computing assets and large databases (big data)

- Develop a web-based log-in user-defined Geographic Information System that integrates data from several aeromedical and other databases within and outside the Division and which integration can be used as an Aeronautical Data Visualization Operational Reporting Safety System.  The system will utilize real-time aircraft accident/incident data from internal/external databases and other information to present the data in a layered geographical display, using a map(s) such as those provided by ESRI or Google.  The application of this technology must enable search, view, and update accident/incident events; performance of queries and analysis; visualization and analyses of regional assets (e.g., Aviation Medical Examiner and accident locations).

Qualifications

- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field OR an M.S. and 2 additional years' experience beyond that described below. Degree must be from an accredited university.

- Experience: At least 5 years combined experience in the following:

- Graphical Information Systems and Displays.

- Analyses of problems to develop integrated solutions involving computer hardware and software.

- Applying theoretical expertise and innovation to create or apply new technology, such as adapting principles for applying computers to new uses.

- Systems Analysis and Systems Evaluation

- Programming - Writing computer programs for various purposes.

- Development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of scientific information technology and information systems and applicable software systems relating to medical informatics: knowledge of healthcare industry information codes (e.g., ICD 9/10) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards (HIPAA).

 U.S.  Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen

Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)

All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.
