PLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon is looking for a Sr. Computer and Information Research Scientist to join our team in Columbia, MD area. In this role, you will support the design, development, integration, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems while applying advanced expertise to solve unusually challenging technical problems.

Responsibilities

Working on complex technical problems and architecting highly innovative systemlevel solutions.

Applying extensive systems engineering experience to analyze and assess system requirements, processes, interfaces, and methodologies to ensure total system integration.

Contributing to-and potentially leading-small engineering teams in planning, designing, and implementing largescale technical programs while interfacing with senior management and technical leadership.

Supporting longrange strategic systems planning under consultative direction.

Applying advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts to determine and pursue courses of action needed to achieve desired technical outcomes.

Performing additional responsibilities as required in support of enterprise engineering, modernization, and integration efforts.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical/scientific discipline.
  • 8+ years of related professional systems engineering experience.

  • Advanced knowledge, SME in the systems engineering discipline

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly present technical concepts

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments and perform in a lead engineering capacity.

  • Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of other engineers.

  • Knowledge of system architecture design, requirements analysis, modeling tools, and capability development.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on system quality and mission success.

Salary RangeUSD $205,000.00 - USD $205,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
