You will serve as a Computer Scientist in the Specialty Cyber Branch in the Digital Engineering Division, at NAWCAD NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.Qualifications:In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
- Developing and coordinating activities designed to ensure, protect, and restore IT systems, services and capabilities; monitor and evaluate systems' compliance with IT security requirements;
- Providing advice and guidance on implementing IT/Computer Science and hardware/software security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems.
- Integrating computer system security with other security disciplines; certifying hardware/software systems or network accreditation; and certifying systems or network accreditation; and /or ensuring coordination and/or collaboration on security activities.
- Developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of computer hardware/software services throughout the agency.
- Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialist on critical computer hardware/software IT issues; Appling new developments to previously unsolvable problems; and making decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency computer hardware/software IT policies or programs.
