This role is being offered as a 12 month contract position. 

Responsibilities
  • Lead the validation of business and system needs by performing gap analysis, documenting detailed requirements, and producing functional specifications and wireframes/mockups with minimal direction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate subject matter expert workshops and working sessions to elicit requirements and align on solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver software demonstrations to business stakeholders, incorporating feedback and refining solutions accordingly.
  • Develop, structure, and maintain comprehensive user documentation and support materials.
  • Actively participate in quality assurance activities, including defining test strategies, preparing and executing test plans, and validating results.
  • Validate implemented functionality against approved requirements and obtain business signoff.
  • Build and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with business partners and subject matter experts, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication.
  • Document as-built solutions, including configuration, integrations, and business workflows, for both technical and business audiences.
  • Proactively assess the impacts of system changes on business processes, downstream systems, and users, and recommend or initiate required adjustments.
  • Contribute to implementation planning, pilots, and production rollouts, including post-implementation validation, issue tracking, and follow-up activities.
  • Identify training needs, develop training materials, and deliver training sessions to end users and support teams.
  • Provide second-level support by assisting with service requests, troubleshooting incidents, and collaborating with technical teams on root cause analysis.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of supported business processes, operational challenges, and how they are enabled by underlying systems, leveraging this understanding to recommend practical, scalable solutions.
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in information management, information technology, business administration, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or related role.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently assess options, evaluate impacts, and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with software implementations and enhancement initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.
  • Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and experience working within structured delivery frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting stakeholder needs and balancing competing priorities to support project goals and broader organizational objectives.
  • Working knowledge of business process analysis and improvement, with exposure to organizational change management principles.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data integration patterns, cloud-based solutions, and modern application delivery approaches.
