Job Description
The computer support specialist position will provide technical support to University Advancement's faculty and staff. The incumbent will have duties to include basic support for departmental computing devices; routine upkeep, maintenance, and supply of workgroup printers, copiers, and fax machines; communication of needs to the Director of Systems Administration and Technology Support; monitoring of incoming service requests and ensuring appropriate escalations are performed; and maintaining proper documentation.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and maintaining personal computers running business applications such as Microsoft Office.
Significant experience providing technical support both in person and remotely.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Consistent track record of being responsible, reliable, and professional.
Demonstrated ability to be discreet when exposed to confidential or sensitive information.
Must be able to lift 25lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution, or a sufficient combination of education and experience to be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
Experience managing enterprise software updates (ECM, Kaseya, BigFix, Jamf, etc.)
Experience with inventory control or fixed assets management
Experience supporting users in an enterprise environment consisting of both PC and Apple computers
