Primary Purpose:
Manage virtual school students in a computer lab setting. Manage student behavior and lab procedures to ensure a productive learning environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification:
  • Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
  • Educational Aide Certification.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to work and communicate with high school students and adults effectively.
  • High level of comfort with technology, including online learning environments.

Responsibilities:
Instructional Support:
  • Adhere to TEA and the district's policies and procedures.
  • Take daily attendance each period.
  • Monitor student progress in virtual courses, including daily monitoring, printing and analyzing progress reports.
  • Communicate student behavior and course progress concerns to appropriate school personnel.
  • Communicate and collaborate with virtual teachers
  • Assist students in the computer lab.
  • Assist in communicating with parents.
