Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead SAP Basis and Security Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 17+ month contract opportunity.

This role will join the CAO (Chief Administration Office) Technology team to support the Corporate Properties Group. The Lead SAP Basis and Security Engineer will design, configure, support, and perform engineering solutions on operational and building management systems, computer hardware, software, and networking tools. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies to rapidly deliver solutions based on business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, monitor, and upgrade SAP systems and databases, including HANA, NetWeaver, and Solution Manager
  • Perform client copies, transport management, and tune system parameters to optimize performance
  • Create and maintain roles (PFCG), manage user access, and design authorization profiles to prevent unauthorized access
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and identify Segregation of Duties (SoD) risks
  • Monitor system logs, SQL traces, and short dumps to resolve technical issues and maintain operational uptime
  • Design, evaluate, and resolve highly complex, enterprise-wide challenges by delivering long-term, scalable solutions
  • Assess and recommend emerging technologies and products to automate Embedded IT controls, processes, and reporting
  • Design and configure S/4 HANA systems, RESTful APIs, and services for reliable, secure, and scalable integrations
  • Engineer and support network connectivity, data movement, and integration solutions
  • Execute projects, technical workstreams, or serve as a peer mentor
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to functional teams, system administrators, architects, and developers in designing target solution architectures
  • Perform hands-on engineering work, including designing, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, SAP MDG and SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)
  • 5+ years of experience in Core SAP S/4 HANA systems and end-to-end architecture, life cycle management, service pack application, and upgrade of applications and infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience and strong understanding of authorization concepts and user provisioning processes
  • 5+ years of experience performing system upgrades, patching, and enhancements
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and architecting security roles within S/4 HANA across various modules and functional areas
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting system issues and providing timely resolution
  • 5+ years of experience and proficiency in database administration (HANA, Oracle, etc.)
  • 3+ years of hands-on configuration experience with system and data integration solutions, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event-based, and REST APIs
  • 3+ years of experience across heterogeneous systems, device landscape, and with security patterns
  • Must be able to work on-site in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid onsite expectation)

Desired skills:

  • 3+ years of financial services industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing & engineering cloud solutions for S/4 HANA SAP RISE solution
  • Technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of data management and infrastructure production engineering leadership
  • Experience with system and platform integrations, including service-to-service communication and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with microservices architectures and API first design
  • Experience with cloud and container platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and virtual environment
  • Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
