Job Summary: Field Engineer 3 (Groton, CT - Contract)
About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Field Engineer 3 and play a pivotal role in keeping enterprise technology running smoothly. This hands-on, field-based position is ideal for technology professionals ready to take on higher-level support challenges across desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices. Grow your IT career with exposure to diverse environments and legacy systems while delivering top-tier customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose, maintain, and service computer hardware, software, and network products at customer sites
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices
- Support both current and legacy IT products, including disk replacement on enterprise storage systems
- Complete installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) as directed by Help Desk or Service Desk
- Execute reimaging and optimization of PCs and laptops, as well as software application certification
- Maintain accurate and timely ticket updates according to client-specific Service Level Agreements
- Ensure customer satisfaction with professional demeanor and consistent follow-through
- Escalate unresolved issues and provide detailed follow-up as needed
Required Skills and Experience
- 1-3 years of computer support experience in desktop, laptop, and basic server environments
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance
- Familiarity with disk replacement and network product support
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Experience updating ticketing systems and meeting SLAs
