Key Responsibilities

1) Apple Ecosystem Infrastructure
  • Configure and optimize multiple Macs, iPhones, iPads under one or more Apple IDs (as appropriate)

  • Consolidate and reorganize Apple Music / Music.app libraries across multiple Macs
  • Resolve duplicate tracks, missing files, “!” broken paths, and scattered storage
  • Optimize media storage architecture:

    • NAS vs DAS
    • best format and file structure for long-term media stability
3) Photos Library Consolidation & Repair
  • Consolidate multiple Photos libraries while preserving:
metadata, albums, people, favorites, geolocation, edits
  • Resolve Photos library issues:
     damaged libraries
  • inconsistent iCloud Photos behavior
  • storage bloat from misconfigurations
  •  Design reliable strategy for:
iCloud Photos vs local Photos library
  • backup & archive separation
4) Backup, Data Protection & Recovery Planning
Design a backup system using:
  •  Time Machine (local / network if applicable)
  • iCloud backup capabilities (where appropriate)
  • manual or versioned archive backups for long-term safety
  • Ensure correct backup retention strategy:
     rapid recovery + long-term archive
  • Audit and document backup coverage so nothing is assumed or missed

5) Apple Networking & Optimization

  • Advanced Wi-Fi and network setup for Apple environments
  • Configure:
     file sharing
  • permissions
  • SMB/APFS external drive workflows
  • Optimize reliability for studio environments: stable throughput, low downtime, repeatable recovery

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Strong professional experience with:
     macOS (Apple Silicon preferred)
  • iOS / iPadOS
Expert understanding of:
iCloud syncing mechanisms (Photos, Drive, Music, Messages)
  • Time Machine workflow and limitations
  • storage architecture for media-heavy creative professionals
  • formats and features of external storages and USB/Thunderbolt protocols
  • LAN Network
  •  Proven track record consolidating:
     Photos libraries
  • Music libraries
  • iCloud accounts
Comfortable working with large datasets (multi-terabyte libraries)
Strongly Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with:
musicians, recording studios, video editors, photographers
 Knowledge of:
NAS systems (QNAP/Synology)
