Job Description
Computer Technician
The Computer Technician shall provide quality customer service in support of all technological
hardware and related systems in the district. The technician shall provide direct support for
computers and networks deployed throughout the District. The technician must be experienced in
working on computers, preferably with certifications in hardware and network support.
Qualifications
The Computer Technician should have extensive experience working on PCs, with Microsoft
Windows, and with other related hardware or software. The technician should be formally
trained in computer services either through a technical school or in the workplace. A+
certification is beneficial as would be experience with the basics of network cabling. Familiarity
with tech support procedures is also needed.

The Computer Technician reports directly to the Director of Technology and Assistant Director.
Duties
1. Work with all staff members of the District in support of any technology needs.
2. Maintain the security of all technology deployed throughout the district.
3. Identify and correct problems in technology systems deployed throughout the district.
4. Perform maintenance and upgrades on computers, mobile devices, networks, and
software deployed throughout the district.
5. Remove malware and viruses from computers.
6. Maintain connectivity of wireless devices.
7. Assist in administration of the District's file servers.
8. Provide support for district telephone and fax equipment throughout the district.
9. Provide support for Internet access.
10. Attend appropriate meetings and training sessions related to technology when approved
by the Director of Technology.
11. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Technology.
