Slitter Operator - Position available in Extrusion Plant

                                   

Principal Job Duties

  • Operate the slitter machine
  • Stage roll stock for splitting as per slitting schedule
  • Ensure rolls produced conform to the required gauge standard
  • Accurately record weight and other relevant information for roll stock produced
  • Separate and highlight any rolls that are not in conformance with specifications
  • Package the slit roll as per established standards
  • Organize core area and optimize old core usage
  • Enter roll data in the production system using a desktop computer
  • Assist with emergency conditions on the Extrusion Line(s) such as web breaks and starting the line as directed by the Shift Supervisor
  • Remove waste material from line when required
  • Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required
  • Maintain all work areas free from obstructions and hazards
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units
  • Perform all work in a safe manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management

 Job Requirements                                           

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lift and move product / parts / boxes when required
  • Mechanical aptitude is necessary
  • Work well under pressure
  • Good team player
  • Good communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Able to rotate on monthly basis
