Job Description:
The Leasing Compression Technician II is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, project management, and customer engagement in the field. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with market research, sales support, and customer relationship management to enhance customer satisfaction and drive market share growth. As a pivotal resource, the technician addresses complex issues, identifies new opportunities, and contributes to the success of field service initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas compression technology, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to thrive in various field environments.
Key Accountabilities & Expectations
  • Field Operations:
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and emergency repairs of natural gas compression systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and adjust compressor performance to optimize efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.

  • Installation and Commissioning:
  • Assist in installing and commissioning new natural gas compressor systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper system integration and functionality.
  • Conduct testing and validation of newly installed equipment.

  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during field operations.
  • Conduct safety assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Promote a safety culture among team members and contractors.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Generate detailed reports on equipment performance with recommendations for improvements.
  • Document changes or modifications to compression systems.

  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training to field technicians and operators on operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Support and guide less experienced team members in troubleshooting and repair activities.

  • Technical Support and Customer Management:
  • Provide on-site and remote support for product installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, resolving escalated issues and fostering long-term relationships.

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct industry research to stay updated on trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Analyze sales and market data, providing insights to enhance market penetration and customer targeting.

  • Technical Expertise and Training:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in reciprocating compression products.
  • Assist in training sales team members on utilizing tools and processes effectively.

  • Physical and Logistical Requirements:
  • Travel extensively and perform physical tasks, such as climbing ladders and working outdoors.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability for on-call duty and occasional weekend work.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with reciprocating compression systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of natural gas compression technology and troubleshooting.
  • Proven track record of successful field operations, maintenance, and customer support.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and technical documentation.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • High School Diploma required; technical training or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in market analysis, segmentation, and share of wallet growth initiatives.
