Job description

About this role:

Provide support in the administration of the worldwide Sales, Consulting, Conference and Sales Specialist Compensation Plans. You will perform recurring monthly processes as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis regarding bookings data, revenue performance, commission earnings and annual sales awards attainment.

What you will do:

  • Complete recurring manual tasks for processes not systematically automated, frequent use of Excel, SQL, SaaS commission application.

  • Maintain commission application by performing a variety of data inputs, perform validation and data quality checks on both data imports and exports.

  • Identify and research inconsistencies to determine root causes and offer proposals for remediation.

  • Review monthly commission payments, confirm commission calculations by reconciling data to source systems, and sign-off on payment integrity.

  • Interact with Sales associates and leadership to explain and assist in the understanding of sales performance, commission calculations, and reporting.

  • Complete Ad-hoc analyses for Variable Compensation Leadership and various business partners.

  • Recommend process improvement and system enhancements.

  • Implement, and test system enhancements as needed.

  • Collaborate between multiple financial, sales, and operational departments.

  • Coordinate and complete additional projects as requested.

What you will need:

  • 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Moderate Excel skills; proficient in various lookup types, conditional functions, concatenations, if functions, pivot tables, advanced filters and sort.

  • Understanding of SQL, basic query writing and use of pre-written templates.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, curious mindset.

  • Comfortable working with large data sets from multiple sources.

  • Ability to understand compensation plan elements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective listening skills.

  • Willingness to take the initiative and accept new projects in proactive manner.

  • Excellent organization & time management skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 78,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
