Mental Health Technician

Make a Difference Every Day as a Mental Health Technician – Supporting Youth in Crisis

Join our compassionate care team at our acute psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, where you'll help provide structured, trauma-informed support to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. As a Mental Health Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in helping young people feel safe, supported, and empowered on their wellness journey.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a team environment, has a passion for behavioral health, and feels called to serve youth in rural communities. If you're calm under pressure and want to make a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide age-appropriate care and emotional support to youth and adolescent patients
  • Support daily routines and group activities in a structured treatment setting
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being through direct engagement and observation
  • Collaborate with clinical team members and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Assist with patient transportation and participate in de-escalation when needed
  • Complete educational activities to support your ongoing professional development
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED preferred

At least one (1) year of psychiatric or hospital/nursing home experience preferred
