Job description

Recycling & Environmental Support Associate
Location: Toledo, OH (Matzinger Road)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview
Our client is seeking reliable and self-motivated associates to join their recycling and environmental services team. This position plays an important role in helping prepare materials for proper recycling and supporting various environmental improvement projects throughout the community.

Because only a small team works within the warehouse, candidates must be able to work independently, stay focused, and manage their time effectively with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Sort and prepare recyclable materials for processing
  • Remove contaminants from recyclable items to ensure they meet recycling standards
  • Brush dirt and debris from plastic flower pots and containers
  • Remove zippers, hardware, and other non-recyclable components from materials such as boat tarps and similar products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
Additional Project Opportunities May Include
  • Community litter and debris cleanup
  • Tree planting and environmental beautification projects
  • Special recycling initiatives
  • General warehouse support as needed
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stay on task and maintain productivity throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and light-to-moderate physical work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist with various projects

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, environmental stewardship, and making a positive impact in their community.
