Community solar breaks down the traditional barriers preventing most people from participating in the renewable energy economy by making it accessible, affordable, and more equitable for all. We work in several states across the country to bring community solar to communities and individuals who can most benefit from a more inclusive energy system.
 

Perch Energy has an immediate opening for an Account Executive reporting to the SVP of Business Development and Policy. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for establishing healthy and collaborative relationships between Perch Energy and its Clients and must operate as a liaison to deliver exceptional service, drive customer retention, and prioritize responsiveness. This role is highly visible throughout the organization and interfaces with key decision makers across our most valuable programs. The ideal candidate must have the capability to address needs and challenges efficiently, build trust, exercise strong attention to detail, and must have excellent communication skills. Client satisfaction is paramount to the success of this role. 


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Ensure timely onboarding of new Clients and projects 
  • Act as the Client's champion across Perch Energy, channeling feedback to Perch teams, translating business needs and product requirements into new solutions for clients 
  • Understand Client needs, develop relationships, and build trust 
  • Chair regular meetings with Clients to track and communicate ongoing portfolio performance 
  • Work closely with Business Development to deliver on contract and service expectations 
  • Educate Clients about community solar servicing and regulatory challenges 
  • Deliver reports and meaningful insights that provide transparency into overall project health and areas of opportunity 
  • Deliver customer information in support of Client invoicing and customer assignments. 
  • Collect outstanding invoices  
  • Advocate for and negotiate contract amendments 
  • Advocate for continual improvements to services and product offerings 
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team, Operations, Technology, Accounting and Legal teams to develop and streamline accurate and substantive monthly reporting for Clients 
  • Support and execute account management tasks in new markets and regulatory environments 
  • Provide input to the Community Solar and Executive teams to set overall business goals and metrics 

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in account management, client relationship management, or overseeing strategic partnerships, ideally B2B enterprise relationships 
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or other related major preferred 
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus 
  • Excellent time management, punctuality, and organizational skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret standard contract terms and resolve sensitive, complex commercial matters. 
  • The ability to balance multiple short and long-term priorities of varying scopes 
  • Ability to distill complex information into simple actionable items 
  • Experience in community solar or renewable energy preferred 
  • Curiosity about and commitment to clean energy
