JOB PURPOSE
The Community Resource Coordinator serves as a key operational and client-facing team member responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Dolores Huerta Resource Center. This position combines administrative coordination, resource navigation, community engagement, program support, event logistics, outreach, and data management responsibilities. The Community Resource Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring community members are connected to services efficiently while supporting leadership in maintaining effective and responsive operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Services and Resource Navigation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, visitors, community partners, and service providers
  • Conduct Rapid Intakes to assess immediate client needs and facilitate referrals to internal and external resources
  • Provide resource navigation assistance related to food, housing, employment, healthcare, education, transportation, and financial assistance programs
  • Assist participants with enrollment and account creation for educational opportunities including CSN HSE/HSC and ESL programs
  • Translate forms, flyers, outreach materials, reports, and client communications between English and Spanish

Community Outreach and Program Coordination

  • Promote DHRC classes, workshops, support groups, and community events through direct outreach, phone calls, community engagement, and follow-up communication
  • Assist with community outreach efforts and represent DHRC at external events when assigned
  • Coordinate client appointments, maintain calendars, and manage scheduling for programs, workshops, providers, and community events
  • Track program attendance, enrollment, participation outcomes, and community engagement metrics
  • Support onboarding activities for volunteers, interns, and service providers

Event Logistics and Operations

  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, outreach activities, provider events, community celebrations, and resource fairs
  • Manage event registrations, room setup, supply distribution, volunteer coordination, and participant communications
  • Manage office inventory and purchasing requests for programs, events, and daily operations
  • Coordinate vendor communication and supply procurement activities
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify operational improvements and streamline client service processes

Data Management and Reporting

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of Salesforce records and assist with accurate data entry and reporting
  • Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure proper record retention practices
  • Oversee survey distribution and collection efforts while ensuring completion targets are met
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bilingual communication in English and Spanish with ability to translate written materials accurately
  • Client-facing service skills with experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populations
  • Resource navigation and knowledge of community-based services including food, housing, healthcare, employment, and financial assistance
  • Program coordination including scheduling, tracking participation, and managing logistics across multiple concurrent activities
  • Event planning and logistics management from setup through execution
  • Data entry, recordkeeping, and quality assurance using Salesforce or similar database systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accurately
  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving in a fast-paced, client-centered environment
  • Inventory and purchasing coordination including vendor communication and supply management
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally in both office and community settings


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required given the demographics of the community served.
  • 2+ years experience in administration, community outreach, customer service, workforce development, education support, case management support, or nonprofit operations.
  • 2+ years experience working in a nonprofit, municipal, education, or community resource environment.

Preferred

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce, HMIS, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database management systems
  • Strong organizational, project coordination, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and professionalism


WORK SCHEDULE AND CLASSIFICATION

  • This position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Evening, weekend, event-based, or on-call work may be required depending on operational needs
  • This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires travel to perform essential job duties including community outreach, external events, and partner site visits. A valid unrestricted Nevada driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and compliance with the organization's insurability requirements are required. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with organizational policy.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit, stand, use hands, talk, and hear for extended periods
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • This position operates in both office and community-based environments throughout North Las Vegas and Southern Nevada
