JOB SUMMARY 

The Development & Engagement Coordinator is the driving force behind our fundraising and engagement efforts. This role coordinates annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship activities, volunteer engagement initiatives, and marketing communications to ensure projects stay on track and goals are achieved. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and passionate about connecting donors, volunteers, and community members to our mission.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Development Coordination 

  • Develop and maintain the organization's annual development and engagement calendar. 
  • Align department timelines and key deadlines for fundraising, stewardship, volunteer engagement, and communications activities. 
  • Maintain organized systems, procedures, and workflows that improve department efficiency and consistency. 
  • Represent Families in Transition at events, external meetings, and community functions. 

Annual Giving Management 

  • Facilitate annual fundraising activities and fundraising schedules. 
  • Manage annual appeal workflows, timelines, and deliverables. 
  • Spearhead Giving Tuesday, NH Gives, and year-end fundraising campaigns. 
  • Support recurring and monthly giving initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the Database Manager on donor segmentation, campaign lists, and donor tracking. 
  • Administer donor stewardship and retention activities. 
  • Support donor acquisition and re-engagement efforts. 
  • Track annual giving deliverables, milestones, and results. 

Marketing & Communications Coordination 

  • Coordinate production schedules, approvals, and project deliverables. 
  • Gather stories, testimonials, photos, impact data, and program updates for fundraising and stewardship communications. 
  • Maintain the organizational communications calendar. 
  • Support the creation and distribution of content that strengthens donor, volunteer, and community engagement. 

Volunteer Engagement Support 

  • Develop volunteer communications and outreach efforts. 
  • Support volunteer recruitment campaigns and onboarding processes. 
  • Organize volunteer recognition and stewardship activities. 
  • Track volunteer engagement activities and key milestones. 
  • Assist with volunteer reporting and documentation. 
  • Coordinate logistics and communications associated with volunteer engagement initiatives 
Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):   

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience 
  • 3-4 years of experience  
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Well organized and detail-oriented 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience working in donor, member, or client services, or related customer service or analyst role
