Salary Schedule Range 19 40 hours/week 12 months/year General Description: Under limited supervision, responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day operation of the Community Services/Education Office in the provision of professional and community educational programs; performs technical and clerical duties involving the use of considerable independent judgment, initiative and interaction with the general public.

Examples of Duties Essential Functions: - Develop classes, workshops, promotional materials, press releases, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures - Responsible for accurate instructor hire forms and timely payment of instructors upon class completion - Assist instructors with preparing materials, contacting students and preparing classroom as needed - Maintain prompt and friendly customer service in person and over the phone - Register participants for classes, workshops, and events and sells tickets over the counter in the office as needed - Prepare daily deposit of monies collected as assigned by director - Process sensitive information such as credit card numbers, login or password information - Order supplies and materials - Handle logistical details of classes, including classroom keys and assignments, room signs, late registrations, and student questions - Maintain records and updates database on students and classes - Update website & database descriptions regarding classes, class requirements, and student receipts - Prepare and distribute community education surveys and class reviews - Introduce speakers/presenters to theater audiences in director's absence - Assist with training and supervision of subordinate employees, student assistants, and summer volunteers - Plan, schedule and organize summer programs, including adult classes, aquatics, youth classes, sports camps, high school leadership camp, preschool camp, and summer theater - Assist with grant and/or proposal writing - Assist and participate in fundraising activities - Travel to other relevant community venues as required, in support of curricular activities - Schedule employees to meet all classes to take new registration and roll - Maintain current class files, daily financial reports, and current instructor information - May be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends - Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge of:- Modern office practices and procedures - Community services programs - Computers and basic applications, including word, registration software, database procedures, and spreadsheets Ability to:- Interpret and apply program rules and regulations - Work in a fast-paced environment - Use initiative and resourcefulness in completing work assignments and in implementing long range program improvements - Work both effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision - Maintain a varying work schedule as needed, including some evenings and weekends - Establish priorities - Maintain supplies, equipment, and/or service ordering and inventory control - Maintain detailed and highly organized records and files - Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students Typical Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education/Training/Experience - High school diploma OR GED AND two (2) years applicable experience OR - The equivalent education and experience DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience- Ability to speak fluent Spanish - Some college coursework preferred PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
