Position Summary

The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Southern Indiana invites applicants for lecturers to teach CMST 101: Introduction to Public Speaking and CMST 107: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Part-time public speaking lecturers are required to either: (1) have a minimum of a master's degree in communication, or (2) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours of communication coursework.
Part-time faculty in media production are required to either: (1) have a minimum of a master's degree in communication, mass communication, or journalism, or (2) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least eighteen (18) graduate credit hours of communication coursework, or (3) hold a master's degree in a different academic area and have successfully completed at least 5 or more years of professional experience related to the specific area of teaching.
