The ideal candidate will collaborate in a dynamic team environment to address critical customer challenges, working closely with senior staff to contribute to problem resolution. This role involves interaction with Architects, Engineers, and Construction Contractors to ensure smooth project execution. We’re looking for a professional, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Project Management is preferred, showcasing the necessary educational foundation for success in this role.

Position Summary:

The Building Commissioning Agent will lead and manage the commissioning process for complex commercial construction and renovation projects, overseeing everything from Pre-Design to Warranty phases. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all systems are properly tested, documented, and meet required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process, including equipment and system testing, technical report creation, scope management, issue resolution, team coordination, and project scheduling.
  • Partner with project teams to develop strategic action plans that optimize time, labor, and resources for commissioning.
  • Contribute to the development of essential project documentation such as checklists, test procedures, progress reports, and system manuals.
  • Inspect project progress, analyze compliance with project drawings, and recommend corrections when necessary.
  • Supervise the commissioning process for each assigned project to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with design professionals to propose changes to project drawings when issues arise.
  • Analyze equipment, processes, and system performance to identify issues, improve efficiency, increase quality, and minimize risks for the owner.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical weekly progress reports, status updates, and memos for leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, industry standards, codes, and best practices for all commissioned systems and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Lead Commissioning Engineer to troubleshoot problems and resolve technical issues.
  • Present commissioning updates and issues at bi-weekly meetings with customers and contractors.
  • Research technical issues and provide recommendations for problem resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • In-depth understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in commercial construction projects.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or building systems discipline or construction project management (preferred).
  • At least two years of experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or a related field (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000 – $80,000
