Job description

Zephyr Connects | Remote

Build Relationships. Create Opportunities. Drive Growth.

Zephyr Connects helps growth-oriented businesses in the residential trades find exceptional people who fit both the position and the culture. We're looking for a Senior Business Development Representative who loves the hunt—opening doors, building relationships, and winning new business.

This is NOT an account management role. We're not looking for someone to manage existing accounts or wait for inbound leads. We need a proactive hunter who's equally comfortable cold calling a business owner, attending an industry event, and developing strategic partnerships that generate revenue for years.

About Zephyr Connects

We help growth-oriented businesses find exceptional people who fit both the position and the organization. We believe recruiting is about more than filling an open seat—it's about solving business problems through the right people.

Our culture is collaborative, entrepreneurial, accountable, flexible, and people-first. We work hard, care deeply, communicate openly, and believe exceptional results and a healthy life outside of work can coexist.

  • Build and manage a targeted prospecting pipeline
  • Proactively engage owners, CEOs, and operations leaders via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations using Sandler principles
  • Identify business problems behind hiring challenges and qualify opportunities
  • Convert prospects into long-term client relationships

Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop relationships with business coaches, CPAs, EOS Implementers, trade associations, and referral partners
  • Generate introductions and referral opportunities
  • Pursue speaking opportunities, webinars, and industry events

Inbound & Account Development

  • Own and qualify incoming leads
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify future hiring needs
  • Ensure every relationship has a clear next step

Decision-makers: Owners, CEOs, Presidents, COOs, Operations Leaders

What Success Looks Like

  • Discovery Meetings conducted
  • Qualified opportunities created
  • Strategic partner relationships developed
  • Closed revenue generated
  • CRM accuracy and follow-through

You're a Great Fit If You...

  • Get energy from opening new doors
  • Are comfortable calling someone you've never met
  • Love meeting business owners and executives
  • Are naturally curious and ask great questions
  • Listen more than you talk
  • Can hear "no" without losing momentum
  • Enjoy networking and developing referral relationships
  • Are highly organized and follow through
  • Want coaching and actively apply it
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

What We Offer

  • Competitive Base Salary – $50,000–$60,000
  • Uncapped Commission
  • Quarterly Performance Bonuses
