Sequel Wire and Cable is growing and has several full-time opportunities in our NEW Low Voltage Division. If you are quality and customer focused with a constant eye for continuous improvement in all aspects of the job, you may be a fit for the following production positions:
  • Packaging
  • Cabling
  • Jacketing
  • Prime Line Extrusion

Essential Job Functions:
• Read and comprehend production work orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials.
• Complete and record quality testing.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Use a computer to enter production information and generate labels.
• Meet all production and quality goals and standards.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Forklift driving experience desired, training provided.
• Use of overhead cranes desired, training provided.
• Knowledge of wire and cable manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Understand and adhere to ISO certification requirements.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Strong attention to detail.
Work Environment
The essential functions of this job require working within a production facility with exposure to various noise levels from machinery and equipment.
Physical Demands
This is an active role as the employee will work in a manufacturing environment. While performing the essential functions of the job the employee will be required to stand, balance or walk on a consistent basis during a 12-hour shift and may on a frequent basis be required to twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend or reach. The employee must use safe lifting techniques when lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carry out repetitive hand/wrist movements to include forearm rotation. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to listen and speak and use their hands to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience- wire and cable manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand work orders
Work Schedule
Our facility operates 24/7. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible/rotating work schedule, including weekends, and cover overtime as needed. All openings are currently full time on the night shift- hours are 5p to 5a EST.
