Job Summary:
The Spanish Interpreter provides language support to ensure effective communication between Spanish-speaking students, families, and school staff. This position is on an as-needed basis and may be asked to support school functions such as parent/teacher conferences, school registration, or translation of written documents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oral interpretation during parent/teacher conferences, school events, and meetings.
  • Assist Spanish-speaking families during student registration and enrollment processes.
  • Translate school communications, letters, and forms from English to Spanish (and vice versa), as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and family information at all times.
  • Communicate in a professional, culturally sensitive, and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure families receive timely and understandable information.

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and translate in an educational setting.
