Systems Engineer

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft software/technologies (e.g., Windows 2016 Server+, SQL Server 2016+, Internet Information Services [IIS], Active Directory).

  • 10+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting high-volume, complex. applications (code deployment, configuration management, debugging and troubleshooting).

  • Technical knowledge base/background in networking, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Technical knowledge base/background in Performance testing (tuning servers, performing tests using 3rd party tools).

  • Technical knowledge base/background in security best practices (e.g., server "lockdowns," Active Directory GPOs (Group Policy Objects).

  • Experience supporting high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.

  • Technical knowledge of build deployment automation, Octopus preferred

  • Off-hour's work (go-live events and production level changes)

  • Participate with short notice on escalated projects.

  • Coordinate, track and assign tasks among multiple SE (System Engineer) resources assigned to a project.

  • Create, edit, and review client-facing documentation (Infrastructure Plan, Performance Test Plan, Whitepapers, etc.).

  • Create formal documentation, tools and processes that simplify and streamline SE tasks.

  • Script/automate manual tasks using PowerShell (with demonstrated increased efficiency)

  • Display superior customer service attitude.

  • Work independently with little or no oversight.

  • Drive deliverables to completion without relying on Project Managers for instruction or task management.

Salary Range

$57,000.00 - $96,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
