THE WORK Lockheed Martin has been embedded with the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission for 30+ years and has a track record of bringing innovative mission software solutions to this domain. Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking engineers to support our USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment. In this role, you will help our team create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community.

The successful candidate will have experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum. WHO YOU ARE Our team needs a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional Agile team to implement new mission capabilities.

Your software will need to reflect secure coding, architectural, and usability best practices as you work Full Stack across the mission architecture. This position also includes collaborating with architecture, cyber, test, and product owner stakeholders to deliver capabilities. Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access Ability to develop Web or Java code in an Agile / DevSecOps team environment. Desired Skills Familiarity with development tooling VS Code, GitLab, Gradle, GIT, JUnit, Selenium, JIRA Experience with JavaScript Frameworks / Libraries (React/Angular/Vue), CSS, and HTML Experience with Web Services (REST) or JSON/XML.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
