Position Summary

The Catering Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new catering sales and developing ongoing business relationships within the local community. This role is a field-based outside sales position primarily performed away from Company restaurant locations.

The primary responsibility of this position is to solicit new catering business, develop recurring catering accounts, maintain client relationships, and grow catering revenue through direct external sales efforts.

This role regularly works within the assigned territory meeting with businesses, organizations, schools, churches, studios, medical offices, and other prospective catering clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prospect and solicit new catering business within assigned territory

Conduct in-person sales visits and relationship-building meetings with prospective and existing catering clients

Develop recurring catering accounts and long-term business relationships

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the local market

Conduct follow-up communication with prospective and existing clients

Coordinate and deliver targeted catering samples and promotional materials

Maintain and manage client relationships through Company CRM systems

Track sales activity, account development, follow-up schedules, and business opportunities

Prepare sales plans and territory outreach strategies

Represent the Chick-fil-A brand professionally within the community

Attend external networking events, community events, and business development opportunities

Communicate client needs and catering opportunities to restaurant leadership teams as necessary

Collaborate with restaurant teams to support successful execution of catering orders generated through Employee's sales efforts


Nature of Position

This is an outside sales position primarily engaged in external sales activity away from Company restaurant locations. The position requires spending a majority of working time engaged in sales activities outside Company premises, including prospecting, client meetings, relationship development, account management, and business solicitation.

The position operates with significant independence in scheduling, territory management, prospecting activity, and client relationship development.


Qualifications

Proven track record of sales growth -REQUIRED

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated and highly organized

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Professional communication skills

Experience in sales, catering sales, hospitality sales, business development, or account management preferred

Comfortable conducting in-person business outreach and external meetings

Ability to maintain organized client records and follow-up activity

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation

Compensation may include base salary, commissions, bonuses, incentives, mileage reimbursement, or other performance-based compensation as determined by Company policy.


This position may participate in Company catering sales bonus or commission programs subject to separate written agreements.

Frequent local travel within assigned territory

Frequent walking, standing, and driving

Ability to transport light catering samples and promotional materials

Flexible scheduling based on client and business needs


Employment Status

Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either party at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable law.
