Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cancer Services Program Manager is a key member of the leadership team at Marshall Medical Center, responsible for developing and coordinating a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer program. This role ensures the delivery of effective, integrated oncology services across the continuum of care, in compliance with American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards. The manager collaborates with clinical leadership to set program goals, monitors the effectiveness of cancer services, oversees cancer data reporting, and manages daily operations of the Cancer Resource Center, including community education and support initiatives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field required; Master's preferred

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology services or healthcare program management required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including direct oversight of staff performance and development, preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accreditation standards and cancer registry operations.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in medical chart review or abstracting
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and manage programs effectively
Skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and disciplines.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing shifting priorities with flexibility and focus.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks and deadlines, with the ability to quickly reprioritize as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using databases and standard office equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint preferred.
  • Comfortable with verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorizations, including identity verification processes such as ID.me for coordination with VA or other external partners.
