Job description

OUR MISSION
We firmly believe that small and medium-sized businesses are the most vital contributors to their communities. We strive every day to not only support the growth and profit improvement of American businesses, but to enrich the lives of the owners and their families. By supporting these businesses, we can directly impact the communities they serve. We meet businesses where they are. How can we help you move forward today?

The Marketing Account Manager serves as the strategic lead for a portfolio of client accounts. This role is responsible for executing/adapting marketing strategies, managing client relationships, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and produce measurable results.

Successful Account Managers combine strong marketing knowledge with exceptional organization, communication, and time management skills. This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone who can manage multiple clients, adapt quickly, work independently, and confidently lead client conversations while keeping projects moving forward.

While this role partners closely with internal specialists across web, SEO, paid advertising, design, copywriting, and development, Account Managers are expected to contribute their own marketing expertise, execute marketing initiatives when appropriate, and clearly communicate the value and ROI of the work being performed.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients by building trusted relationships, leading client meetings, and providing strategic marketing guidance aligned with each client's business goals.
  • Establish the strategic foundation for each client by developing brand guidelines, identifying target audiences, defining messaging and positioning, and ensuring internal teams have the information needed to execute successfully.
  • Execute marketing strategies and roadmaps by building timelines, creating detailed tasks in ClickUp, coordinating internal specialists, and adapting plans as client needs, priorities, or performance change.
  • Lead internal project execution by providing clear direction to specialists, maintaining accurate due dates, ensuring tasks remain up to date in ClickUp, and holding projects accountable to established timelines.
  • Execute email marketing campaigns for clients who require them and contribute to other marketing initiatives when appropriate to support client needs.
  • Analyze marketing performance by interpreting KPIs, explaining the story behind the data in a way clients understand, and recommending strategic adjustments that support long-term business growth.
  • Maintain clear communication through detailed recap emails, organized project documentation, and proactive collaboration with both clients and internal teams.
  • Review marketing deliverables for quality and strategic alignment while proactively identifying client concerns, project risks, or opportunities before they become larger issues.
