Description:Position Overview

The Electrical Sales Advisor is responsible for diagnosing customer concerns, presenting electrical solutions, and helping homeowners make informed decisions regarding repairs, upgrades, safety improvements, and electrical system replacements.

This role is focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving revenue growth through professional sales execution, technical knowledge, and strong communication. The Electrical Sales Advisor will work closely with electrical technicians, install teams, dispatch, and management to ensure sold work is properly communicated, scheduled, and completed to company standards.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, organized, and capable of building trust with homeowners while maintaining high close rates and average ticket performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Experience
  • Meet with homeowners to evaluate electrical concerns and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Present multiple repair and replacement options following company sales procedures.
  • Educate customers on electrical safety, code compliance, energy efficiency, and system performance.
  • Build value in recommendations without relying on high-pressure sales tactics.
  • Maintain strong conversion rates while protecting company gross profit goals.
  • Ensure customers fully understand the scope of work, financing options, warranties, and project timelines.
  • Follow up on unsold estimates when appropriate.
Technical & Operational Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough electrical system evaluations and inspections.
  • Identify opportunities for repairs, upgrades, surge protection, panel replacements, generators, EV chargers, lighting upgrades, rewires, and safety corrections.
  • Accurately build estimates and proposals within ServiceTitan.
  • Ensure sold jobs include complete notes, photos, material requirements, permits, and scope details.
  • Coordinate with install management and permitting teams to ensure smooth job execution.
  • Verify sold work meets company standards and local electrical codes.
Communication & Teamwork
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, technicians, dispatch, and office staff.
  • Participate in team meetings, ride-alongs, sales training, and coaching sessions.
  • Assist field technicians with lead turnovers (LTOs) and customer communication when needed.
  • Support department growth through teamwork and positive culture contribution.
  • Communicate job changes, customer concerns, and scheduling needs promptly.

Requirements:Daily ExpectationsMorning Responsibilities
  • Review scheduled calls and customer history.
  • Ensure all tools, tablets, pricing, and financing options are ready for the day.
  • Participate in morning meetings and departmental updates.
  • Review previous day callbacks or pending estimates.
During Calls
  • Perform complete system evaluations.
  • Take proper photos and document findings thoroughly.
  • Present good/better/best options whenever applicable.
  • Discuss financing and payment options with customers.
  • Collect deposits and signatures for sold work.
  • Ensure all sold jobs are accurately entered into ServiceTitan.
End of Day Responsibilities
  • Finalize all invoices, estimates, notes, and photos.
  • Follow up on pending customer decisions as needed.
  • Communicate sold work and job details to install management.
  • Review performance metrics and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of electrical experience preferred.
  • Prior in-home sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and code requirements.
  • Experience with panel replacements, generators, EV chargers, surge protection, rewires, and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting pricing and financing options to homeowners.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience using ServiceTitan preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Compensation may include:
