SUMMARY
The In-Room Dining Server ("Mesero/a de Servicio a Cuartos") provides a courteous, timely, and professional in-room Food & Beverage delivery service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Ensure all room service orders are delivered to guest rooms in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, while providing exceptional guest service.
  • Review each order for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery, demonstrating expert knowledge of the resort’s food and beverage menus.
  • Complete assigned side work in a timely and thorough manner, including, but not limited to, setting up and maintaining lobby water stations, organizing and maintaining dry goods inventory for the F&B outlets department, and keeping work areas clean and organized
  • Assist with food running and bussing duties in the hotel’s signature restaurant, Dockside 1953, during periods between room service deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all assigned areas.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and team members, representing the resort’s service standards at all times.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and resort policies and procedures while handling and delivering food and beverages.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 6-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense. 
  • RBS certification required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
