  • Sunday 8/6 - Makeup Training (Makeup Artists only)

Group Rehearsals (Dependent on House Assignment):
  • Tuesday 9/8 - 5:30pm-8:30pm: Scare Zone
  • Wednesday 9/9 - 4:30pm-7:30pm Daytime
  • Thursday 9/10 - 5:30pm-8:30pm: mAlice and Bloodcraft
  • Friday 9/11 - 5:30pm-8:30pm: Malignant, MedEvil, and Project Nightmare
  • Wednesday 9/16 - 4:30pm-7:30pm: Daytime Dress Rehearsal
  • Thursday 9/17 - 4:00pm-9:30pm: First Dress Rehearsal
  • Friday 9/18 - 4:00pm-9:30pm: Final Dress Rehearsal

A Maze Host provides guests with a safe and fun experience at each park house/maze attraction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Delight each guest by providing exceptional customer service, conveying a positive and friendly attitude, and engaging with guests in a fun and exciting manner!
  • Ensure the safe and continuous operation of all House/Maze attractions
  • Complete daily safety checklist before operation of ride
  • Explain safety procedures to House/Maze attendees
  • Ensure that the number of attendees do not exceed maximum capacity
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers and guests to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Assist guests in and out of the maze structures and cycle through the line efficiently and following all safety procedures
  • Accurately respond to guest questions in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Proactively monitor assigned areas and quickly identify and escalate any safety hazards or other risks to the proper authorities
  • Ensure compliance with and enforce all park policies, procedures, and labor laws
  • All other duties assigned by leadership

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • No previous work experience needed

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
  • Must be able to obtain Working Papers if under the age of 18
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work nights up to 12am (midnight)
  • Must be playful, outgoing, friendly, and convey a positive, guest-centric attitude
  • Must possess effective verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, handle stress, and work as part of a fast-paced team

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, crawl, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more

Working Conditions:
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor and indoor areas of the park
  • Subject to extreme warm or cold temperatures during the autumn months
  • Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
  • Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, strobe lights, dark and shadowy environments, and heavily populated area
