Key responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to translate company strategy into clear operating plans and execution frameworks.

  • Lead and manage annual and quarterly planning cycles, including OKR reviews, business performance checkpoints, and executive forums.

  • Design and implement planning infrastructure and operating rhythms to drive cross-functional alignment, resource allocation, and organizational scale.

Job description

As our Director of Strategy & Operations, you'll partner closely with business leadership to translate company priorities into clear operating plans, decision frameworks, and executional rigor across various functions. You'll own our planning cycles end-to-end, from setting the annual direction to driving quarterly OKR reviews that ensure we stay focused on what matters most. You will act as the chief architect and executor of the strategy and operating models-bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to a rapidly scaling organization.

What you will do:

Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
  • Partner with the executive team to translate company strategy into clear annual direction, enterprise priorities, and execution frameworks
  • Lead the annual planning process - setting timelines, aligning cross-functional leaders, and ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-impact opportunities
  • Continuously evolve and operationalize strategy across product, GTM, finance, and operations as conditions change
  • Build and maintain a real-time enterprise portfolio view of major initiatives, resourcing, interdependencies, and performance against plan
  • Maintain a strong, real-time understanding of business performance, competitive dynamics, and emerging risks - bringing clarity and perspective to leadership when it matters most
Operating Cadence & Governance
  • Design and run the company's operating rhythms, including annual planning cycles, quarterly OKR reviews, business performance checkpoints, and executive forums
  • Establish clear decision-making frameworks, accountability mechanisms, and follow-through processes that enable focus and durable growth
  • Lead quarterly business reviews to assess performance, recalibrate strategy, and reallocate resources based on results
  • Build AI-native planning infrastructure that powers Oura's planning model and portfolio management

Cross-Functional Alignment & Organizational Scale

  • Proactively identify when the business is overextended, underinvested, or misaligned - and mobilize the right people to resolve it
  • Design and implement the planning infrastructure (frameworks, tooling, operating rituals) that scales with the company and enables execution with speed and clarity
  • Serve as the primary integrator across Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations - clarifying ownership, surfacing trade-offs, and resolving misalignment quickly
  • Lead and develop a high-performing planning and operations team - setting clear expectations, providing mentorship, and building a culture of rigor and speed

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you:

  • Have 10-12+ years of experience in strategy consulting (MBB preferred) and or corporate strategy with direct ownership of enterprise planning processes
  • Bring executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive clarity and alignment without positional authority
  • Have experience building operating models and processes in high-growth environments and demonstrate strong strategic orientation and exceptional operational rigor
  • Have the proven ability to design and run operating systems from scratch - not just maintain inherited ones
  • Operate with AI-fluency - you can build scalable planning tools, accelerate analysis, and raise the output quality of the teams around you using AI
  • Have worked with C-suite executives on portfolio management and resource allocation
  • Experience in consumer tech, subscription businesses, or digital health (a plus)
