Position Overview

Executive Director, Strategy & Transformation

The Executive Director, Strategy & Transformation plays a critical role in driving large-scale, analytics-led transformation initiatives across NCR Voyix Operations. Reporting to the Strategy & Operations Transformation Senior Director, this role leads individual workstreams within broader strategic programs, combining structured problem-solving, deep analytical rigor, and executive-level communication.

This position is ideal for candidates with a consulting or strategy background who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, owning complex workstreams end-to-end, and translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. The role operates at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution, supporting cost optimization, revenue growth, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:Workstream Leadership & Strategic Execution
  • Lead discrete, analytics-focused workstreams within enterprise transformation programs, owning delivery from problem definition through execution and recommendations
  • Support large-scale operational transformation initiatives, including
  • Designing and deploying targeted AI and digital solutions for Support, Field Services, and internal Operations teams
  • Planning and executing cost-reduction, productivity, and revenue-generating initiatives across the Operations organization
  • Develop a clear point of view on workstream priorities, dependencies, and risks, proactively driving progress with limited direction
Problem Solving & Business Analysis
  • Structure complex, ambiguous business problems into clear analytical frameworks and hypotheses
  • Design and execute business analyses by defining desired outputs, identifying data requirements and limitations, and validating assumptions
  • Build and review analytical models using tools such as Excel, Python, and Power BI to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance of insights
  • Synthesize analytical outputs into implications, trade-offs, and recommendations grounded in operational and financial impact
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Translate complex analyses and project updates into clear, concise, executive-level communications, including email updates and presentation materials
  • Develop compelling storylines that connect data, business context, and strategic recommendations
  • Lead disciplined meetings with clear agendas, decision points, and documented next steps
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and execution
Work Planning & Project Discipline
  • Independently develop and manage workplans outlining milestones, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder interactions
  • Track progress against deliverables and proactively surface risks, gaps, and mitigation plans
  • Apply consulting-style rigor to execution, ensuring high standards of quality, pace, and clarity
Required Skills & Capabilities
  • Ownership & Accountability: Strong ownership mindset with the ability to move from broad objectives to clearly defined actions and outcomes
  • Structured Problem Solving: Ability to digest ambiguous inputs and conflicting perspectives, structure the problem logically, and define actionable next steps
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize findings into simple, compelling narratives tailored to senior leadership

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for analysis and modeling

  • Comfort working with imperfect or incomplete datasets and clearly communicating limitations and assumptions
Background & Experience
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy & operations, analytics, fintech/payments, or project-based transformation roles
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 or similar consulting environment strongly preferred
  • Proven experience supporting or leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders
  • Background in payments, fintech, or large-scale operations environments is a plus
Optional / Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools (e.g., Smartsheet)
  • Advanced analytical or automation tooling experience (e.g., Alteryx, advanced Power BI, Python scripting)
