Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Drafts and/or finalizes construction bid proposals for the most complex and/or highest priority projects. Revises such construction proposals as necessary to maintain compliance with changes in specifications occurring between issuance of a project's draft bid proposal, and the proposal finalization deadline. Reviews construction specifications for individual project features or items of work, and verifies those prepared by others are approved for use.

These specifications must comply with applicable state and federal rules and regulations, and must be accurate, concise, and comprehensive to provide for quality construction at economical bid prices. Reviews project correspondence files to ensure that all conditions of permits, agreements, and miscellaneous memoranda have been complied with and incorporated in the construction plans and bid proposals. Assembles construction bid proposals and construction specifications, consisting of standard forms, special provisions, supplemental specifications, required federal contract provisions, minimum wage determinations, letter-size plans, and schedule of bid items and quantities, all of which may require customization for each individual project.

Prepares addenda as necessary to address plan revisions, specification revisions, or bid documents errors during the advertisement period.
