Since 1883, The Bridgeport Port Jefferson (BPPJ) Ferry has proudly served the Bridgeport and Port Jefferson communities as the trusted maritime transportation provider. Our mission is to offer a safe, reliable, and enjoyable ferry experience for passengers transiting the Long Island Sound barrier.
BPPJ Ferry is seeking highly qualified individuals to serve as a Commissary Assistant. Duties and responsibilities are below:
Commissary Assistant
Reports to:
The Commissary Assistant is directly responsible and accountable to the Commissary Manager
Supervises:
None
Description of Duties:
The Commissary Assistant is assists with the loading, unloading and delivery of goods for the food service.
Assist with unloading of shipment of supplies and food items for the food service.
Assist with preparing items for quick and efficient delivery of food and supplies onboard the ferry.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent
Valid TWIC care or must have completed the enrollment process with TSA
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate a computer terminal, telephones and standard office equipment.
Salary:
$18.72 an hour

Non-Exempt
